App Market Research MCP: Connect AppGazers to an AI Agent

Use the AppGazers MCP server for evidence-led app-market research with ChatGPT, Claude Code, Grok, and other capable AI clients.

AppGazers MCP lets a compatible AI assistant query app-market data instead of relying on ungrounded summaries. Paste https://appgazers.com/mcp into a client that supports remote Streamable HTTP MCP, approve the OAuth request in your browser, and use read-only research tools to collect evidence.

What the AppGazers MCP server provides

The server exposes app catalog, rankings, reviews, ads, keyword, estimate, and research-prompt capabilities over MCP. It is a way for an assistant to retrieve the same kind of market evidence a researcher would inspect; it does not make model conclusions automatically correct.

Some tools can read or change your watchlist. Keep a research client on the minimum requested scope: mcp:read is for catalog research, while mcp:user is required for user-scoped watchlist actions.

Connect by OAuth, not by copying a secret

Give the client exactly https://appgazers.com/mcp. A compatible client discovers the protected-resource and authorization-server metadata, opens a browser sign-in and consent flow, then receives its own OAuth credentials. Do not put a personal token in a URL, chat, source file, or automation prompt.

Before approving, verify the assistant and the permissions shown on the consent page. You can review and disconnect approved assistants from the MCP page after signing in to AppGazers.

  • Use only the HTTPS MCP endpoint shown above.
  • Approve mcp:user only when a workflow truly needs your watchlist.
  • Revoke a connection you no longer recognize or use.

Ask an agent for a bounded research memo

Good MCP requests specify market, country, date range, app count, and decision. They also demand sources and uncertainty labels. That prevents a model from quietly substituting generic web knowledge for retrieved app evidence.

Try this prompt

Using AppGazers MCP, research [category] in [country] for a product decision. Find up to five relevant apps. For each, give store links, current rank or catalog evidence, estimated performance clearly labeled as an estimate, review themes, keyword context, and public-ad evidence where available. Separate retrieved facts from inferences; cite every source and list missing data.

Review outputs before acting

An agent can sequence tool calls, summarize records, and draft a memo. It cannot validate a number that is only an estimate, infer a competitor’s private strategy, or make product and legal decisions for you. Open the cited sources, check dates and country filters, and inspect surprising results.

AppGazers exposes tools; it does not schedule jobs. If you want a recurring report, an external agent or scheduler must initiate each run and a human should decide what, if anything, follows from the output.

Choose the guide for your client

Use the dedicated ChatGPT, Claude Code, and Grok guides for client-specific setup and limitations. The protocol is shared, but client menus, hosted-connector access, OAuth behavior, and tool approval differ enough that a generic instruction can be misleading.
